Pets For Patriots
This program helps veterans and military families experience the incredible bond between people and pets while also helping some of our often-overlooked animals find loving homes. Through this partnership, eligible adopters will receive 50% off their adoption fee from HSHC, along with several additional benefits provided by Pets for Patriots.
You must be approved by Pets for Patriots prior to adoption
(exceptions for weekend and federal holiday adoptions)
MOVSM Award
Did you know that fostering and volunteering with HSHC can count toward MOVSM (Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal) awards?

Fostering is recognized as 8 hours a day and we supply everything needed during your fostering time.
Volunteering is based on hours earned at our adoption center or at adoption events.
Both opportunities include a MOVSM MFR letter of endorsement signifying your hours volunteered.

Whether you open your home to a foster pet or give a few hours of your time, you’re making a difference in the lives of animals in our community!
